Programme Overview

Description

This programme is designed to develop the culinary knowledge, professional conduct, food-safety awareness and practical skills required to work effectively in commercial kitchens and other food-service environments.

Students receive hands-on training in food preparation and cooking while studying food safety and sanitation, hospitality and tourism, business etiquette, computer literacy and employability skills. The programme also includes practical culinary training and a 120-hour specialised hospitality rotation, providing valuable experience in a professional workplace.

Progression Requirements

Students seeking to matriculate into an Associate Degree programme after completing this diploma must first enrol as Pre-College students and complete one of the following options for each subject: MAT 002 – Numeracy Skills II or MAT 99 ENG 002 – Vocational English II or ENG 99
