Course Outcomes

By the end of the course participants will be able to:

  • Demonstrate the ability to read and apply an understanding of the rules and standards governing the National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Describe the purpose of the NEC and explains how to use it to find the installation requirements for various electrical devices and wiring methods.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the factors and requirements to consider when installing branch circuit, feeder, and service loads and Calculate branch circuit, feeder, and service loads
  • Provide potential electricians with awareness of knowledge areas covered by specific license examinations, questions, and examination format, degree of difficulty for specific license examinations, length of the examination, and length of time allowed to complete their examination.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the effective preparation for the electrical license examination and provides evidence that the candidate possesses the necessary knowledge and expertise to challenge the examination
