Computer Technician Level 2 Diploma

This course introduces students to the fundamentals of computer hardware and software, mobile devices, security and networking concepts, and the responsibility of an IT professional.

The latest release includes, mobile devices, Linux, as well as expanded information about Microsoft Windows operating systems, security, networking, and troubleshooting. The course is suitable for persons with no previous knowledge or experience of computer but have passion to make it career pathway. Students will acquire a range of technical, practical, personal, and organisational skills that are of value within and beyond the workplace. Graduates are eligible to enter the Associate Degree in Computer Science programme at UCCI as well as take the CompTIA certification.

Course Objectives

By the end of the of the course students will be able to

  1. Assemble, troubleshoot, and configure computer hardware and software.
  2. Demonstrate Computer Help desk and support skills
  3. Implement and configure a local area network.
  4. Understand the characteristics of cybercrime, security principles, technologies, and procedures to defend networks
  5. Connect with the Internet of Things and how it enables the Digital Transformation
