Campus Closure – Friday 15 May

University College of the Cayman Islands will be closed on Friday, 15 May, to facilitate a disaster preparedness exercise. All classes will be conducted online for the day. Students are asked to check their email for instructions from their lecturers. Our administrative team will remain available via email throughout the closure. Thank you for your understanding. Normal operations will resume on Tuesday, 19 May.

What This Means for You as a Student

  • All classes will continue as scheduled but will be delivered online at their usual times.
  • You are expected to attend all your classes remotely from home or another suitable location.

Accessing Your Online Classes

  • Your lecturers will send you the link and instructions to access your online classes (via Teams, Zoom, Blackboard, or other platforms).
  • Please monitor your student email and learning platforms closely for these details.

If You Have Not Received Instructions

If you have not received your class link or instructions by Thursday at 1:00 PM, please:

  1. Check your spam/junk folder.
  2. Contact your lecturer directly via their institutional email.
  3. If you still receive no response, contact your Faculty Office immediately.

Important Reminder

  • Attendance is required and especially important on this day as part of our remote learning evaluation.
  • Continue checking your email regularly, including on Friday morning, for any updates.
