A lecture in the Distinguished Lecture Series (DLS), presented this year in recognition of UCCI’s 50th Anniversary Celebrations:
When does imported labour support economic growth and local human capital development and when does it undermine the long-term goals of small island economies like the Cayman Islands?

Gest Speaker: Professor Mushfiq Mobarak of Yale University

Professor Ahmed Mushfiq Mobarak, a development economist, is the Jerome Kasoff (Class of ’54) Professor of Management and Economics at Yale University and founder of the Yale Research Initiative on Innovation and Scale (Y-RISE). His research uses field experiments in low- and middle-income countries to design and scale policies addressing poverty, migration, health, and environmental sustainability.
