Donors Make the Difference

Donors continue to enhance students’ lives at the University College of the Cayman Islands through their generous contributions. Impressive contributions from the community have lifted philanthropic donations to a level 15 times higher than they were just four years ago. This support has a tremendous impact on our ability to help students access higher education and to benefit from the skills they can develop right here in Cayman.

$5 Million by 2025

However, we are far from our goal of $5 million. Reaching this goal will mean that more students can access higher education in the Cayman Islands and that UCCI can offer richer and more varied avenues of study. It means we can develop even more robust programmes to prepare future leaders, sustain healthier communities and bring innovative solutions to the Cayman Islands.

Generous support from donors provide funds for these programmes and scholarships

UCCI Fund

UCCI Fund

All annual unrestricted gifts go directly into the UCCI Fund, supporting scholarships and operations that provide for an outstanding UCCI education: classes, excellent faculty, outstanding facilities, state-of-the-art technology and many hands-on learning opportunities.

Community Engagement Programme

Community Engagement Programme

The CEP is a comprehensive needs-based scholarship and retention programme for first-generation college students studying in the Cayman Islands. The programme serves students by providing funding for college along with a wide range of support to the CEP scholars as they pursue higher education. The programme was established in May 2021 thanks to the initial funding by Beverley and Tom Simpson. UCCI is seeking additional sponsors to expand the programme.

Work-Based Learning Programme

Work-Based Learning Programme

The University of the Cayman Island’s Work-Based Learning programme aims to provide students with job-site training linked with a planned programme of study and career opportunities. Students engage in two levels of preparation as part of Work-Based Learning. On-campus work experience, mentorship, and evaluation is followed by learning through internship offerings. Students receive a broader exposure to real-life experiences in the workplace and in the community.

Student Scholarships

Student Scholarships

Many students who attend UCCI are in need of financial aid. Providing scholarships is a major factor in meeting our goal of transforming lives, helping students achieve their academic dreams and teaching them how to excel wherever they go. Student success is, ultimately, community success.

Event Sponsorships

Event Sponsorships

Many cultural, business, athletic and social events on campus, and in the community, benefit from corporate and foundation sponsorship.
