Dr. Blessitt-Vincent joined UCCI in 2003 and brings to the University College a broad spectrum of expertise in the areas of Tourism, Customer Service Management, Human Resource Management and Sales and Marketing. Working with both public and private sector organisations in several countries, Dr. Blessitt- Vincent has gained diverse experience and have used this to enhance learning in the classroom. Currently, she is the Chair of the Department of Business where along with her administrative duties she also lectures in business, marketing and human resource management courses.

Her educational credentials include a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership with a minor in Human Resources Development and a Master of Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University, Florida. She also has a Bachelor of Science degree in Tourism Management and a post graduate Certificate in Public Relations from the University of the West Indies; and a Diploma in Teaching: Secondary Education from Mico Teachers’ College.  Dr. Blessitt-Vincent is also a Certified Hospitality Educator (CHE) certified by American Hotel and Lodging Association (AHLA) and a Global Remuneration Professional (GRP) certified by WorldatWork Society of Certified Professionals.

She was instrumental in developing the curricula and modules for the Bachelor of Science Programme in Business Administration with concentration in Marketing and Management. Dr. Blessitt-Vincent implemented changes in the Hospitality Studies Programmes which have further strengthened the partnership between UCCI and the industry. Her contribution to tourism was recognised by the industry when she received the prestigious Cayman Islands Stingray Award- “Allied Employee of the Year” in 2008. In 2011, she also received the Premier Hon. W. Mckeeva Bush Award in recognition for outstanding dedication to the Tourism Apprenticeship Training Advisory Council (TATAC).

An active Lion of the Lions Club of Tropical Gardens, Dr. Blessitt-Vincent was instrumental in starting the UCCI Leo Club in 2013. Based on her work in the community, she was the recipient of the Melvin Jones Fellow (MJF) award from Lions International Foundation for dedicated humanitarian services in 2013.

She is married to Nestor and has one son, Matthew.
